What does this bottle refill?

The cyan tank of any 522-family EcoTank: ET-2400, ET-2720, ET-2800, ET-2803, ET-2840, ET-4700, ET-4800 or ET-4810. Specs: T522220-S, 65 mL dye ink, up to 7,500 pages (ISO/IEC 24712).

Why is the color yield higher than the black's?

It's how Epson rated this family: colors at 7,500 pages, black at 4,500. The ISO test pattern is color-document based, and the 522 color bottles simply measure out higher on it. Both figures are Epson's published numbers.

My prints lean pink. Is cyan low?

That's the textbook symptom — magenta shows through when cyan can't keep up. Check the cyan tank window; if it's low, this refill is the fix, followed by a nozzle check.

Is 522 cyan interchangeable with 502 cyan?

No. The 502 cyan (T502220) is a 70 mL bottle rated 6,000 pages with different keying, for different printers. This 65 mL, 7,500-page bottle fits only 522 tanks.

Dye or pigment ink?

Dye — every position in the 522 family is dye, per Epson's datasheets. Dye is what gives these home printers their bright, smooth color on plain and glossy paper alike.

Any chip to reset after refilling?
