Frequently Asked Questions

What does 90,000 pages look like as a supply plan?

It looks like a planning horizon instead of a purchase. Three 310-7238 cartridges at 30,000 rated pages each cover 90,000 pages of Dell 5310 output — for many departments that is two or three quarters of monochrome printing settled in one order. The value is administrative as much as financial: one invoice, one delivery, and no toner conversation again until the third cartridge is well under way.

How does the pricing break down across the three cartridges?

The 3-pack is $446.92, or $148.97 per cartridge, against $161.30 for a single — $36.98 saved versus buying three one at a time. Across the full 90,000 pages, the per-page cost settles at about 0.50 cents. The discount per unit is steady rather than dramatic, which is typical at this tier: the pack rewards commitment without pretending the third cartridge is free.

We run more than one 5310 — does a shared stock work?

Yes, and it is one of the better reasons to buy at this size. A pooled stock of 310-7238 cartridges issued to whichever 5310 runs dry first smooths out uneven consumption between machines. Keep a simple issue log — date, cartridge, printer — and you will quickly see if one unit is burning through toner faster than its siblings, which usually points to that machine, not the cartridge.

How should three cartridges be rotated so none ages in storage?

Oldest first, always. Leave each cartridge sealed until the day it is installed, store the boxes flat in a cool, dry cupboard, and write the arrival date on each outer box. Working through the stock in purchase order means no unit sits forgotten at the back of the shelf while newer ones are used ahead of it.

What cover applies to a purchase of this size?

Every one of the three cartridges carries our one-year warranty and one-year free returns, individually. The procedure is described on our shipping and returns page, and our support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central. Stock is dispatched from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California.

Is this genuine Dell toner?

No — these are compatible 310-7238 cartridges built to the specification the Dell 5310 works to, listed in our Dell toner range. At pack quantities the compatible saving compounds across every unit, and the warranty and returns terms are the safeguard that travels with it.
