Frequently Asked Questions

Why buy two 45,000-page cartridges at once?

Because the cost of a stopped production copier is measured in delayed jobs, not in toner. With this GPR-17 2-pack, one GPR17BK cartridge runs in the machine and the second waits on the shelf. When the first one finally empties — 45,000 pages in — the swap takes minutes and the next 45,000 pages start immediately, with no emergency order and no expedited shipping.

What does each cartridge in the 2-pack cost?

The pair is $157.49, which is $78.75 per cartridge against $88.00 bought one at a time. Across the pack you save $18.51 compared with two single purchases, and the per-page toner cost drops from roughly 0.20 cents to roughly 0.18 cents over the pack's combined 90,000 rated pages.

When should we reorder?

The clean rule for this pack size: the day the shelf cartridge goes into the machine, place the next order. That keeps one cartridge running and one in reserve at all times, and because orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, the replacement normally lands well before the installed cartridge is anywhere near empty.

Are both cartridges in the pack identical?

Yes. Both are the same compatible Canon GPR-17 black cartridge, code GPR17BK, each rated at 45,000 pages. There is no "second quality" unit in a multipack — the discount comes from buying the pair together, not from any difference in the cartridges.

Does the GPR-24 pack fit the same machines?

No. This pack is GPR-17 only. The Canon GPR-24 is a different cartridge family for different devices, and its packs are separate listings. If your fleet runs both families, each machine's stock has to be ordered under its own code — GPR17BK here, GPR24BK there.

What cover do we have on both cartridges?

Both units carry the same protection: a one-year warranty and one-year free returns, detailed on our shipping & returns page. Support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if anything needs sorting out.
