Frequently Asked Questions

Why keep a second 48,000-page cartridge on site at all?

Because at production volume, the gap between "toner empty" and "replacement arrived" is filled with stalled jobs. A GPR-24 2-pack keeps one GPR24BK in the machine and one at the device or in the supply cupboard, so a change is a two-minute task whenever it falls — including at a satellite office where no one wants to manage frequent small orders.

What does the pair cost per cartridge?

The 2-pack is $169.05, which is $84.53 per cartridge against $93.77 for a single — a saving of $18.49 across the pair. Over the pack's combined 96,000 rated pages, the toner cost comes down to roughly 0.18 cents per page.

When is the right moment to reorder?

When the reserve cartridge goes into the machine. That trigger keeps the in-use-plus-spare pattern intact permanently, and with orders shipping from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, the new spare is on the shelf long before the installed cartridge approaches its 48,000-page rating.

Are the two cartridges in the pack the same?

Yes — two identical compatible Canon GPR-24 black cartridges, code GPR24BK, each rated at 48,000 pages. The pack price reflects buying them together; there is no difference in yield or specification between the first cartridge and the spare.

Could we use the GPR-17 2-pack in these machines instead?

No. The Canon GPR-17 belongs to a different machine family and its cartridges do not fit or substitute in GPR-24 devices. If a site runs both families, it needs both packs, labelled and shelved under their own codes — GPR24BK for these machines.

What protection covers the pack?

A one-year warranty and one-year free returns on both cartridges, with the process described on our shipping & returns page. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
