Frequently Asked Questions

Why do departments order GPR-24 five at a time?

Because at this yield class, toner is a volume supply, not an occasional purchase. Five GPR24BK cartridges are 240,000 rated pages — enough for a department to allocate against its cost centre once, hold the stock centrally, and let machines draw from it for months without purchasing being involved in every change.

What is the saving at this step of the ladder?

Five singles would cost $468.85. This 5-pack is $394.89, saving $73.96, with the per-cartridge price down to $78.98. Spread over 240,000 rated pages, toner cost is roughly 0.16 cents per page — the point where the GPR-24 ladder reaches fleet pricing.

How should a department track five cartridges?

A simple issue log is enough: date, machine, and who fitted it. With 48,000 pages per cartridge, the log quickly shows each device's real consumption rate, which turns the next budget request into arithmetic. It also makes a missing or faulty unit easy to identify against the pack.

Does the whole pack have to go to one machine?

No. Any machine that takes the Canon GPR-24 can draw from this stock — the cartridges are identical GPR24BK units. What the pack cannot do is serve GPR-17 machines: that is a different family with its own listings, and mixing the two on one shelf is the usual cause of wrong-cartridge delays.

What cover applies to a departmental purchase?

Each cartridge carries a one-year warranty and one-year free returns; the terms are on our shipping & returns page. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, so a department is not dependent on one depot for replenishment.

How is stock best stored at this quantity?

Boxes sealed and flat in a dry supply room, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, used oldest-first. Five cartridges is a modest footprint for the output it represents — 240,000 pages in a couple of shelf feet.
