Frequently Asked Questions

Why pool GPR-17 stock for a fleet instead of ordering per machine?

When several copiers in a building all run on the Canon GPR-17, a shared pool of GPR17BK cartridges is simpler and safer than a small stash per device. Any machine that runs dry draws from the same shelf, nobody discovers an empty cupboard at the busiest machine, and purchasing deals with one cartridge code instead of tracking separate orders per device.

How much output does this 5-pack represent?

Five cartridges at a rated 45,000 pages each is 225,000 pages of fleet output. Spread across several machines, that is a substantial planning horizon — the kind of quantity a facilities or office manager orders once and then simply monitors, rather than re-ordering every time a single device calls for toner.

What is the per-cartridge and per-page cost?

The pack is $366.01, which is $73.20 per cartridge. Five singles bought separately would cost $440.00, so the pack saves $73.99. Across 225,000 rated pages the toner cost works out to roughly 0.16 cents per page — the fleet-scale end of GPR-17 pricing.

How do we keep track of consumption across devices?

A simple sign-out habit works: when a cartridge leaves the shelf, note the date and the machine it went into. Because every unit is the same GPR17BK code, the log shows exactly how fast each device is consuming toner, which makes the next order a calculation rather than a guess.

Do all five cartridges have to be used quickly?

No. Sealed toner cartridges store well at room temperature away from heat and sunlight, and a fleet drawing on a shared pool typically works through five 45,000-page units steadily. Each cartridge also carries a one-year warranty and one-year free returns, with the terms on our shipping & returns page.

How fast can a pool like this be replenished?

Orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, so replenishment does not depend on a single distant depot. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if a fleet order needs attention.
