Frequently Asked Questions

What is inside this drum and toner set?

One DR420 drum unit and one high-yield TN450 toner cartridge (2,600 pages). Together they renew the complete imaging system of a Brother TN420/TN450 printer in a single box, for $39.13.

Why would I replace the drum and toner together?

When the drum reaches the end of its life, print quality fades no matter how new the toner is. If your printer is asking for a drum and the cartridge is also low, this set solves both in one order instead of two.

Which printers does the set fit?

It fits DCP-2240D, DCP-2270DW, DCP-7055, DCP-7057, DCP-7060, DCP-7060D, DCP-7065, DCP-7065DN, DCP-7070DW, HL-2130, HL-2132, HL-2135W, HL-2220, HL-2230, HL-2230D, HL-2240, HL-2240D, HL-2242, HL-2242D, HL-2250, HL-2250DN, HL-2270, HL-2270DW, HL-2275, HL-2275DW, HL-2280, HL-2280DW, MFC-7240, MFC-7360, MFC-7360N, MFC-7365, MFC-7365DN, MFC-7460, MFC-7460DN, MFC-7860, MFC-7860DW, FAX-2845, Intellifax 2840 and Intellifax 2940 — the full Brother family built on the TN420/TN450 cartridges and DR420 drum.

What do I save against buying the parts separately?

Bought apart, the DR420 drum is $30.50 and a TN450 cartridge is $27.13 — $57.63 in total. At $39.13 this set saves $18.50.

How do I fit the set?

Slide the old assembly out, separate the spent cartridge from the old drum, click the new cartridge into the new drum until it locks, slide the assembly back, then reset the drum counter from the printer's menu so the new drum's life is tracked correctly.

Is the set covered by warranty?

Both parts carry our 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year. See shipping & returns for the details.
