Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in this drum and toner set?

A DR420 drum unit together with two high-yield cartridges from the TN420/TN450 family (2,600 pages apiece, 5,200 in total). The set is $47.77.

Which printers does it fit?

It fits DCP-2240D, DCP-2270DW, DCP-7055, DCP-7057, DCP-7060, DCP-7060D, DCP-7065, DCP-7065DN, DCP-7070DW, HL-2130, HL-2132, HL-2135W, HL-2220, HL-2230, HL-2230D, HL-2240, HL-2240D, HL-2242, HL-2242D, HL-2250, HL-2250DN, HL-2270, HL-2270DW, HL-2275, HL-2275DW, HL-2280, HL-2280DW, MFC-7240, MFC-7360, MFC-7360N, MFC-7365, MFC-7365DN, MFC-7460, MFC-7460DN, MFC-7860, MFC-7860DW, FAX-2845, Intellifax 2840 and Intellifax 2940 — every Brother model that pairs TN420/TN450 cartridges with the DR420 drum.

What is the saving against separate purchases?

The parts bought singly — drum $30.50, cartridges $27.13 each — come to $84.76. This set saves $36.99 at $47.77, and the components are guaranteed to arrive as a matched kit.

When should I choose this set over separate parts?

When the drum is due. A drum change is the natural moment to stock toner as well: the new drum starts life with a fresh cartridge, and the second cartridge waits sealed for the first refill, months later.

Can the spare cartridge be used in my old drum instead?

Yes. Cartridges and drums in this family are fully interchangeable — the spare works in any DR420 drum, old or new, and the new drum accepts a cartridge you already have part-used.

What cover does the set carry?

A 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year across all three components. See the shipping & returns page for terms.
