Frequently Asked Questions

What do I actually save with this 3 pack?

Three GPR-22 singles at $37.70 each would total $113.10. This 3 pack is $76.12, so each cartridge works out to $25.37 and you keep $36.98. Across the pack's 25,200 pages (8,400 per cartridge), the cost per page drops from about 0.45 cents to about 0.30 cents — the saving is in the arithmetic, not in a lesser cartridge.

Who is a 3 pack sized for?

A workgroup printing roughly 1,000 to 2,000 pages a month on an imageRUNNER 1023 or 1025 series machine will work through three cartridges in about a year to eighteen months — a sensible reorder rhythm that keeps one in the machine, one in reserve, and one behind it. Very light users may find a single plus a spare is plenty; very heavy users should look at the 5 pack's lower per-cartridge price.

Are all three cartridges identical?

Yes — three of the same compatible Canon GPR-22 cartridge, part number 0386B003AA, each rated at up to 8,400 pages. They fit the imageRUNNER 1023, 1023iF, 1023N, 1025, 1025iF and 1025N, so a pack can also be shared between two machines from that family sitting in the same office.

How should the pack be stored between changes?

Sealed in their boxes, flat, in a cool dry drawer or cabinet away from sunlight and heat. Note the delivery month on the first box and use the cartridges in order. There is no advantage to opening one early, and a sealed cartridge keeps its full life on the shelf.

What if the second or third cartridge turns out faulty?

Each cartridge is covered on its own by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, regardless of when in the pack's life you open it. You are not asked to prove anything about the other two. The policy details are on our shipping and returns page, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Output looks fine for text but photos print muddy — is the toner to blame?

Probably not. These compact imageRUNNER machines are document printers; muddy photographs usually reflect the machine's grayscale rendering and paper choice rather than a toner fault. If ordinary text also starts looking gray or uneven, rock the cartridge gently side to side to redistribute the toner — that is the classic sign of a cartridge nearing its end.
