Frequently Asked Questions

There are two 119II 5-pack listings, and both say $90.11. Is one of them a pricing mistake?

No — we checked, because it is the obvious question. This "Premium Quality" listing and the standard 5-pack listing are priced identically because they offer the same thing: five compatible Canon 119II high-yield cartridges, part number 3480B001AA, rated at 6,400 pages each, backed by the same 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. There is no upgraded cartridge in this listing and no downgraded one in the other. The wording differs; the toner, the numbers and the cover do not. Buy from either listing with equal confidence.

Then what should I compare, if not the "Premium" label?

The specifications — they are the only honest basis for comparison. Part number: 3480B001AA, the cartridge your machine takes. Yield: 6,400 pages per cartridge, 32,000 across the pack. Price per cartridge: $18.02, which is about 0.28 cents per page and $73.99 less than five singles at $32.82. Backing: 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on every unit. Both 5-pack listings agree on all four, so once you have verified them, there is genuinely nothing left to choose between the listings.

Why do duplicate listings like this exist at all?

Catalogues accumulate them — a cartridge gets listed under its descriptive name by one route and under a quality label by another, and over time both listings live side by side. Rather than pretend the duplication is a product difference, we would rather name it. What matters for your office is that the cartridge arriving at your door is the Canon 119II (3480B001AA) you ordered, at the price shown, with the warranty stated. That is true of this listing in exactly the same measure as the standard one.

What does the pack itself do for a busy department?

It removes toner from the monthly to-do list. Five high-yield cartridges are 32,000 rated pages: on a shared MF414dw or LBP6650dn printing 2,500 pages a month, that is over a year between orders, with the per-page cost held at roughly 0.28 cents throughout. The saving against singles — $73.99 — is the equivalent of more than two free cartridges across the pack's life. The only real precondition is that the machine stays in service long enough to use the stock.

How should the four waiting cartridges be stored?

Sealed in their bags, lying flat, in a cool dry place away from heat and direct sunlight, with the arrival month marked on each box and the oldest used first. Sealed toner keeps its performance in storage; the enemies are heat, damp and broken seals, not time. That holds identically whichever of the two 5-pack listings the cartridges came from — one more consequence of them being the same cartridge.

If a cartridge disappoints, does it matter which listing I bought from?

Not in the slightest. The 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns apply in full to every cartridge in this pack: an early failure, a leak or weak output means a replacement or a refund for that unit, handled under the same terms set out on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
