Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'Jumbo' actually mean on this cartridge?

More toner in the same fitting. The TN660J is rated at 4,000 pages — against 2,600 for the regular TN660 and 1,200 for the standard TN630 — so it is the longest-lasting cartridge made for this platform, at $28.15, roughly 0.70¢ per page.

I hate changing cartridges — how much longer does this one last?

About 54% longer than the TN660 and more than three times the TN630. If your printer lives somewhere awkward — under a counter, in a back office — the Jumbo stretches the interval between changes further than anything else that fits the machine.

Which printers does the Jumbo fit?

It is compatible with these Brother models: DCP-L2520DW, DCP-L2540DW, HL-L2300D, HL-L2305W, HL-L2315DW, HL-L2320D, HL-L2340DW, HL-L2360DW, HL-L2380DW, MFC-L2680W, MFC-L2685DW, MFC-L2700DW, MFC-L2705DW, MFC-L2707DW and MFC-L2720DW

Is it much more expensive than the regular high-yield?

Barely. At $28.15 against the TN660's $26.39, you pay $1.76 more for 1,400 extra pages — which is why its cost per page, about 0.70¢, is actually lower than the standard high-yield cartridge.

Does a jumbo cartridge change anything about the drum?

No. It sits in the same DR630 drum unit (12,000-page rating, $31.82) as every other cartridge on the platform. With a Jumbo you will typically go through about three cartridges per drum instead of four or five.

What cover does it come with?

The same as the rest of the range: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, set out on our shipping and returns page, shipping from IL, PA, GA and CA, and support 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This TN660J Jumbo Toner Cartridge

The Jumbo is the set-and-forget option for this platform: 4,000 pages in a single cartridge for $28.15, the lowest cost per page of any single cartridge in the family. If your priority is simply changing toner as rarely as possible, this is the cartridge that does it. The standard options remain in our Brother toner range.
