Compatible Brother LC3013 High Yield ink cartridges — black (LC3013BK), cyan (LC3013C), magenta (LC3013M) and yellow (LC3013Y), each rated up to 400 pages (ISO/IEC 24711), plus the Set of 4 and the bulk Set of 9. They fit the same four Work Smart printers as the Standard Yield LC3011 tier: MFC-J491DW, MFC-J497DW, MFC-J690DW and MFC-J895DW.

LC3013 Ink — High Yield for the Four Work Smart Printers
LC3013 is the High Yield tier of a two-tier Work Smart family: LC3013BK, LC3013C, LC3013M and LC3013Y, each rated up to 400 pages (ISO/IEC 24711). They fit MFC-J491DW, MFC-J497DW, MFC-J690DW and MFC-J895DW. The Standard Yield tier, LC3011, fits exactly the same four printers at 200 pages per cartridge. The tier changes only the yield; it never changes the printer list, and the two tiers can be mixed color by color.
Sets in this family are built on LC3013 only: the Set of 4 (one of each color) and the bulk Set of 9 (3 black + 2 of each color). There is no LC3011 set in this range, and the code “LC30134PKS” seen on some seller pages is not used — it could not be verified in Brother’s own comparison tables. For steady printing this is the tier that halves cartridge changes against the Standard tier on the same machines.
On the same four printers, the Standard tier remains the lower-cost way to cover light printing — the two rungs coexist rather than replace each other, and a mixed shelf of both is a normal setup for these machines.

Chip, ink and everyday use
If an LC3013 cartridge draws a second look from the printer, start with the basics: lift it out, check the contacts are clean, and reseat it until it sits firm. Each cartridge on this page carries a new compatible chip, yet one message can still appear — “Cannot Detect Ink Volume.” Brother's support text is clear that printing continues with that message, that only a new genuine cartridge clears it, and that the ink-level gauge may not read.
