Phaser 4620DT Toner Cartridges

Built for office workflows, the Phaser 4620DT delivers professional-quality documents, and it takes the 106R01535 cartridge, which we carry as an affordable compatible. When maximum yield is not a priority, this printer can be loaded with the standard black 106R01533 instead. You will find both codes below in compatible form, the high-yield multi-packs including the 4600H listings, and a single and 5-pack named for this model.

Workflow printers sit in the middle of a process: documents arrive from several desks, wait their turn, and move on. Supplies that fit that rhythm are the ones nobody has to think about, and a shared cartridge code across the printer family helps, because the spare on the shelf is the right spare for whichever machine runs dry first. Professional-quality output also means the cartridge has to stay consistent from its first page to its last.

Which cartridge should you buy?

Match the fill to the workflow's pace. A 4620DT clearing daily queues belongs on the high-yield 106R01535, which keeps cost per page down and changes rare. Small teams often settle on the 4600H 2-pack, one cartridge working and one waiting, while the 4-pack, 3-pack, regular 5-pack and premium 5-pack serve offices that batch their purchasing. The standard 106R01533 is the right call for the machine that handles the occasional overflow job rather than the daily run. The Phaser 4620DT-named single and 5-pack offer the same high-yield cartridge under the model's own label for order forms that work that way.

Chip, toner and everyday use

Consistency is the everyday concern on a quality-focused printer. If output starts to look tired, with light patches on long runs, take the cartridge out and rock it gently side to side; settled toner is the usual cause and the fix takes seconds. Fit replacements with a firm push until the click, so the chip seats and the level reporting stays honest. Store spares sealed and flat, away from heat, and judge their lifespan by the 5% coverage basis of the rating, since workflow documents with tables and graphics cover the page much more densely than plain letters do.

Frequently Asked Questions

What toner does the Phaser 4620DT use?

It uses the 106R01535 high-yield black toner cartridge. The standard black 106R01533 is the other member of the family and fits the same printer.

I ordered the 106R01533 by mistake. Is that a problem?

Not for this printer. The 106R01533 is its standard-yield cartridge, so it will fit and print normally; it simply holds a smaller fill than the high-yield 106R01535 you may have meant to buy.

How do I install the cartridge?

Open the front cover, pull out the old cartridge, unpack the new one and slide it in until it clicks, then close the cover and carry on printing.

Will the printer recognize a compatible cartridge straight away?

It should, once the cartridge is fully seated and its chip connects. If a warning lingers, remove the cartridge and refit it firmly before assuming anything is wrong with it.
