Frequently Asked Questions

Our 6015 copies as much as it prints — does copying draw on these cartridges too?

Yes. A copy is a print, so copying and printing both consume the same four cartridges in your WorkCentre 6015. Scanning, by contrast, uses no toner at all — an office that scans documents to email instead of copying them will see its cartridges last noticeably longer. Keep that split in mind when the black seems to empty sooner than expected.

Which numbers identify the cartridges for this machine?

Four: 106R01630 for black, 106R01627 for cyan, 106R01628 for magenta and 106R01629 for yellow. They are printed on the cartridge labels and shown in the machine's supplies information, so you can confirm this set against your own 6015 in under a minute before ordering — or after it arrives, before anything is opened.

What does the set include for $68.36?

One sealed cartridge of each of the four colors, and nothing else is needed for the change. A toner swap on this multifunction is a front-access job with no tools: out with the spent cartridge by its handle, in with the new one in the slot of the same color.

How do the page ratings translate to a copying-and-printing workload?

Black is rated at 2,000 pages and each color at 1,000, at standard document coverage. A 6015 that copies forms and correspondence all day leans hardest on black; color is spent on the occasional color copy or graphic. Ratings are per cartridge, so the four finish at different times — expect black to call for replacement first and plan the shelf stock around it.

We also run a Phaser from the same era — can one set serve both?

Very likely, and that is this platform's party trick. The same set feeds the Phaser 6000, Phaser 6010 and Phaser 6010N, plus the WorkCentre 6015V/B and WorkCentre 6015V/N. A printer and a multifunction from this Xerox family share one spare box between them.

What cover does the set come with?

A 1-year warranty on the cartridges and free returns for a year, as set out on the shipping and returns page. Your order leaves from the nearest of our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and the support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This WorkCentre 6015 Toner Set

The WorkCentre 6015 is the compact multifunction that copies, scans and prints from one small footprint, usually for a small team that does a bit of everything. Its toner appetite matches that mixed life: 106R01630 black rated at 2,000 pages for the document grind, and 106R01627 cyan, 106R01628 magenta, 106R01629 yellow at 1,000 pages each for when color is called for. One $68.36 set keeps all of its functions fed — and doubles as the spare for the Phaser printers in the same family.
