Frequently Asked Questions

When should I reorder this cartridge — at the warning light, or later?

At the warning light, but install later. The Phaser 4622N flags low toner with a comfortable reserve still inside the cartridge, so the warning is your ordering signal, not your deadline. Order this replacement then — it is the high-yield 106R01535, rated at 30,000 pages — keep printing on the old cartridge until its output actually fades, and swap in the new one at that point. Kept sealed, the spare loses nothing by waiting on the shelf.

What confirms this is the 4622N's cartridge?

The number on the cartridge you remove: 106R01535. The 4622N belongs to the Phaser 4622 family on the shared 4600 and 4620 platform, and this one cartridge — also known as the 4600H — serves the entire platform. This listing is named for the 4622N to make it findable by printer model; the number is the decisive check.

Does the same cartridge fit the rest of the platform?

Yes. It runs in the Phaser 4600 and Phaser 4620 families and in the Phaser 4622DN, as well as the letter-suffixed variants across the range. One cartridge design for the platform means a spare on your shelf is never the wrong spare.

How long will the new cartridge last?

At 850 pages a month, roughly 35 months. At 1,700 pages a month, about 17 to 18 months. At 3,400 pages a month, around nine months. Those spans come from the 30,000-page rating at 5% coverage — text-weight documents — so heavier coverage will trim them somewhat.

What is the per-page cost?

Approximately 0.49 cents: $146.12 spread over the 30,000-page rating. It is the simplest honest measure of a toner cartridge, and on a high-yield unit like this it shows why the sticker price is the wrong thing to flinch at — the pages are what you are buying, and they come at under half a cent each.

What if I install it and something is wrong?

The cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, as is everything we sell. The details are on the shipping and returns page, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
