Frequently Asked Questions

What does "high yield" actually mean on this set?

It describes the capacity of the cartridges inside. Black 106R01597 is rated at up to 3,000 pages, while cyan 106R01594, magenta 106R01595 and yellow 106R01596 are each rated at up to 2,500 pages, all measured on the standard 5% coverage test page. Pages with heavier color fill will use toner faster than those figures suggest, but as a like-for-like rating this is the higher-capacity set for the platform.

Which cartridges are in the box?

Four cartridges, one for each slot in the machine: black 106R01597, cyan 106R01594, magenta 106R01595 and yellow 106R01596. The listing title is generic, so the four part numbers are the identity of the set — if those are the numbers on the cartridges you are replacing, this is the set that matches them.

How do I confirm the fit before I order?

Pull any one of your current cartridges and compare its part number with the four above. The set serves the Phaser 6500 and the Phaser 6500N, and matching by part number removes any doubt left by the generic title.

My black ran out but the colors still show half — must all four go in together?

No. Each cartridge is read and consumed on its own, so you can seat the black today and keep the three colors sealed until their turn comes. An unopened cartridge simply waits on the shelf without losing anything.

How long is a set likely to last in a small office?

That turns on monthly volume. At a few hundred pages a month, a fresh set can carry an office through much of a year; a busier desk that prints color handouts daily will cycle the 2,500-page colors noticeably sooner than the 3,000-page black. The ratings give you the yardstick — divide them by your monthly page count for a rough calendar.

What cover and delivery terms come with it?

Every cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the full terms on our shipping and returns page. Orders leave from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and our support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This High Yield 4 Color Set

Priced at $72.30, this set is identified by its part numbers rather than a model name: black 106R01597 at up to 3,000 pages plus cyan 106R01594, magenta 106R01595 and yellow 106R01596 at up to 2,500 pages apiece. It is the full four-position refresh for the 6500 platform in a single box. Single cartridges and other pack sizes for the same machines sit on our Xerox toner page.
