CLX-6240

The CLX-6240 joined Samsung's CLP/CLX stable in the late 2000s as a color laser multifunction printer. Samsung sold it as a configuration variant of the CLX-6240 line for specific channel needs. Its buyers were mostly small workgroups that needed dependable color output without a departmental price tag.

Samsung paired this model with CLP-K660 toner — CLP-K660A for black pages and CLP-C660A among the colors. The B-suffixed codes are the higher-yield option. Whether you want compatible savings or genuine OEM CLP-K660 cartridges, we ship fast from Clever Supplies.

Frequently Asked Questions

New owner here — are compatible CLP-K660A cartridges safe to use in the CLX-6240?

Genuine Samsung CLP-K660A carries the manufacturer's own quality guarantee, while compatible cartridges compete mainly on price. Whatever you choose, make sure the code is exactly CLP-K660A — fit issues come from wrong codes, not from the compatible label. Budget, volume, and quality demands together point to the right choice for your CLX-6240.

Need some guidance — can I switch back to standard toner after using high-yield in the CLX-6240?

The CLX-6240 reads the chip on any CLP-K660A cartridge the same way, regardless of how much toner is inside. Heavy users of the CLX-6240 often cut their per-page cost noticeably by moving to high-yield. Revisit the choice once a year — printing habits change, and the CLX-6240 will accept either.

Need some guidance — does draft mode really save toner on the CLX-6240?

The CLX-6240 stretches every CLP-K660A cartridge further when you print double-sided and reserve full quality for final documents. Choose compatible CLP-K660A cartridges to lower the cartridge price itself, which flows straight into cost per page. Your CLX-6240 is capable of economical printing; the defaults just are not tuned for it.
