Frequently Asked Questions

On a home-office desk, how often will this cartridge need changing across a year?

For most home-office desks, once - if that. The ML-1710D3 is rated at 3,000 pages; a desk printing 250 pages a month lands exactly there over twelve months. Lighter desks may find a single cartridge spans well into a second year, which is part of the charm of keeping an ML-1755 running.

What should I expect from this cartridge in an ML-1755 used at home?

Full-strength black text from the first pages and a long, uneventful life after that. The cartridge is a full-size 3,000-page unit, not a starter fill, so the experience is measured in months. Expect the rated total to assume ordinary documents; dense pages draw more toner and shorten it somewhat.

What does one cartridge cost per printed page in the ML-1755?

About 1.39 cents: $41.62 divided by the 3,000-page rating. And since the ML-1710D3 combines the drum with the toner, that figure is the ML-1755's entire running cost for consumables - no second part will come due.

How do I know when this cartridge is nearly empty rather than faulty?

Emptiness fades gradually and evenly, and a gentle rock of the cartridge brings the darkness back for a while. A fault announces itself differently - the same blemish repeated at the same spacing down successive pages, appearing suddenly. The first pattern means order a cartridge; the second means contact us while the unit is in its warranty year.

Will this cartridge also serve other Samsung printers?

It does. The ML-1710D3 also serves the ML-1500, ML-1510 and ML-1510B, the ML-1520, the ML-1740 and ML-1750, and the ML-1710, ML-1710B, ML-1710D and ML-1710P, so if a second printer from that generation lives in the house, the same spare covers both. The Samsung brand page lists the full range for these printers.

What guarantee stands behind this compatible cartridge?

The cover is straightforward: twelve months of warranty, and returns that cost you nothing across the same twelve months. If the cartridge leaks, streaks or gives up early, it comes back to us free of charge. Full terms are on the shipping and returns page. We deliver from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
