Frequently Asked Questions
How should a five-pack be worked through so no cartridge sits too long?
In order, oldest first. Keep the unopened ML-D1630A cartridges sealed and flat in a dry cupboard, fit them in the sequence they arrived, and reorder when the fifth goes into the ML-1630. Dry toner tolerates shelf time well, so the rotation is about tidiness rather than rescue - cartridge five, opened last, prints like cartridge one.
What does the pack do to the ML-1630's page cost?
It brings toner down to roughly 1.89 cents per rated page. The pack is $189.08 - $37.82 per cartridge against $52.61 for the same cartridge bought singly - so across its 10,000 rated pages it saves $73.97 compared with five separate purchases.
How many pages does the pack hold altogether?
10,000 rated pages: five cartridges at 2,000 pages each. On an ML-1630 printing a few hundred pages a month that is comfortably more than a year of supply; busier machines simply move the reorder date closer, but the pattern stays the same - one order, a long quiet stretch, one reorder.
Is there any risk in stocking this far ahead?
Very little, with ordinary care. The cartridges are sealed units of dry powder; stored away from heat, damp and sunlight they keep their print quality. The genuine consideration is volume: if the printer only wakes occasionally, five cartridges tie up money for a long while, and the single or three-pack fits that pace better.
Which printers can use this pack?
All five cartridges are Samsung ML-D1630A units, fitting the ML-1630, ML-1630W and SCX-4500. This listing is the ML-1630's pack, and a shelf shared with either sibling machine works just as well.
What warranty and returns cover applies to the pack?
The same as a single cartridge, multiplied by five units: a one-year warranty on the cartridges and free returns across twelve months. Shipping is from the nearest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, with support available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

For a printer in steady use it converts toner from a recurring errand into a once-in-a-while decision, and every swap is the same single combined unit. Lighter sizes live in the Samsung range if the volume does not justify five.
