What should I expect on the first pages after fitting this cartridge in my MB280 MFP?
Solid, even black from the first sheet — crisp text, no streaks, no pale patches. Print a handful of normal documents and a copy or two to check both functions, since prints and copies on the MB280 MFP both draw from this one 56123402 cartridge. If the first pages look wrong, contact us straight away rather than persevering.
How far does this cartridge go in an MB280 MFP?
It is the high yield 56123402, rated at up to 5,500 pages across printing and copying combined. An MB280 MFP handling 200 pages a week in total would run for around six months on it; lighter use stretches that well beyond. Heavy copy work counts against the rating just as printing does.
What is the per-page cost here?
The cartridge is $44.01, so at the full rating you are paying about 0.8 cents per page. For an MB280 MFP that works through cartridges quickly, the 5-pack of the same 56123402 lowers that to roughly 0.53 cents per page.
Is this cartridge an Oki original?
No — it is a compatible cartridge built to the 56123402 specification, sold by Clever Supplies with a one-year warranty and a full year of free returns. Our Okidata range page lists the other pack sizes in this family.
Does it fit the MB260 MFP as well?
Yes. The 56123402 serves both the MB280 MFP and the MB260 MFP, so one cartridge type stocks both machines. Checking the number on the cartridge you removed is still the quickest confirmation before you order.
What happens if I have a problem a month or two in?
You are covered. The warranty runs a full year, returns are free for a year under our shipping and returns policy, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Orders ship from whichever of our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses gets to you fastest.
