Does copying on the MB260 MFP draw toner from this same cartridge?
Yes. On a multifunction machine, prints and copies both come from the one 56123402 cartridge — this listing, the compatible high yield black rated at up to 5,500 pages. Scanning to email or file uses no toner at all. If your MB260 MFP copies as much as it prints, expect the cartridge to finish sooner than a print-only count would suggest.
What does this cartridge cost per page in an MB260 MFP?
It is $44.01 for up to 5,500 pages, which works out at about 0.8 cents per page across printing and copying combined. That is the single-cartridge rate; the 5-pack version of the 56123402 in this family lowers it further for heavier users.
What should the first pages look like after I fit it?
Clean, solid black text with no streaks or faded patches. Run a few ordinary documents first: if output looks right from the start, you are set for the cartridge's rated run. If anything looks off on page one, contact us while it is fresh — support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
Is this the high yield or the standard cartridge?
The high yield one. The 56123402 is rated at up to 5,500 pages, which is the long-fill option for the MB260 MFP and MB280 MFP family — fewer swaps over the machine's year and a better per-page price than a standard-fill cartridge.
Is this cartridge an Oki original?
No, it is a compatible cartridge made to the 56123402 specification and sold by Clever Supplies, with a one-year warranty and free returns for a full year. You will find the rest of this cartridge family on our Okidata range page.
How fast will I get it, and what if it disappoints?
Orders ship from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA is quickest to you. If the cartridge disappoints, returns are free for a full year under our shipping and returns policy, and the one-year warranty stands behind it either way.
