How long will one of these cartridges keep an MB260 going?
The cartridge — the compatible 56123402 — is rated at up to 5,500 pages. In a small office putting 150 pages a week through the MB260, that is around eight months between changes. A lighter user at 50 pages a week could see well over a year from a single cartridge; heavy text-and-graphics pages will shorten those figures.
What am I paying per page in the MB260?
This single cartridge is $44.01, so at the full 5,500-page rating the cost lands at about 0.8 cents per page. Real-world coverage varies — dense pages use more toner — but for ordinary office documents that is a fair planning number.
Why does the listing call this "high yield"?
Because the 56123402 is the long-fill version of the cartridge for this printer family, rated at up to 5,500 pages. Fewer cartridge changes, fewer orders, and a lower cost per page than a standard-fill unit — that is the whole point of choosing the high yield option for an MB260 that works every day.
Is this cartridge made by Oki?
No, it is a compatible cartridge manufactured to the 56123402 specification and sold by Clever Supplies. It is backed by a one-year warranty and one year of free returns, and our Okidata range shows the other pack sizes available for this printer family.
Does the same cartridge fit anything besides the MB260?
The 56123402 also serves the MB280MFP multifunction model, so offices running both machines can stock one cartridge type for the pair. If you are reordering, the number on the cartridge you remove — 56123402 — is the confirmation that this is the right one.
What support do I get if something goes wrong?
