Frequently Asked Questions

Premium or standard C830DTN set — what is actually different?

On the numbers, nothing — and this listing will not pretend otherwise. Both sets are $110.29. Both contain black, cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges rated at up to 8,000 pages each. Both cover the same Oki part-number family: 44059109, 44059110, 44059111 and 44059112. "Premium Quality" is the listing's name; the price, the ratings and the job the set does are identical to the standard listing, so the choice between them is genuinely a coin toss.

Will my C830DTN treat these any differently from the standard set?

The printer sees four cartridges in four slots; it does not read listing names. What governs your results is the same either way: install each cartridge in its color position, let the machine run its calibration, and judge the output on the page. If anything prints badly, the remedy is identical too — these compatible cartridges carry a one-year warranty and one year of free returns.

How many pages should I realistically expect?

Plan around the rating, not on it. Up to 8,000 pages per cartridge is measured at 5% page coverage — a light text page. Real C830DTN work with color charts, headers and graphics pulls considerably more toner per page, so a set in a color-heavy department may deliver a fraction of the headline figure on the color cartridges while the black, doing mostly text, gets closer to its rating.

Can I stagger the installation across a few weeks?

Yes, and most people do. Replace the cartridge the printer flags, keep the others sealed as spares, and install them as their turns come. Sealed toner keeps well for a long time in a cool, dry cupboard, so there is no penalty for buying the full set now and consuming it gradually.

How do returns work if I need them?

Start at the shipping and returns page for the steps, or talk to support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Compatible cartridges from Clever Supplies carry one year of free returns alongside the one-year warranty, and that applies to this Premium Quality listing exactly as it does to the standard one.

Where does my set ship from, and where can I see the alternatives?

Sets ship from the closest practical of four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California. If you want to compare this set with single cartridges or the larger five- and eight-cartridge packs in the same family, they are all listed together on the Okidata page.
