Frequently Asked Questions

What does "Premium Quality" mean on this C5850 listing — and what does it not mean?

Honest answer first: this Premium listing is priced at exactly the same $145.50 as our standard C5850 set, and it carries the same published ratings, so we will not invent a specification difference that the numbers do not support. What you get is the same four-cartridge family — 43865717, 43865718, 43865719 and 43865720 — at the same price; the word "Premium" in the listing name costs you nothing extra, and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up.

What four cartridges are included?

One black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow cartridge, corresponding collectively to the 43865717 / 43865718 / 43865719 / 43865720 family. Each is sealed individually, so you can install them one at a time as the corresponding color in your C5850 runs out.

What page ratings should I expect?

The black cartridge is rated at up to 8,000 pages and each color cartridge at up to 6,000 pages, measured under the standard method on light, even coverage. Real life varies with what you print: text documents lean on the black, while graphics and photos draw the three colors down noticeably faster.

Which printers does this Premium set serve?

It is listed for the C5850 and its C5850DN and C5850N relatives, and for the C6150, C6150DN, C6150DTN, C6150HDN and C6150N. All of those machines share the 43865717, 43865718, 43865719 and 43865720 cartridge family, which is why one set can serve both the C5850 and C6150 lines.

Why might I pick this listing over the standard C5850 set if the price is identical?

There is no price reason — both are $145.50, an average of about $36.38 per cartridge — and no ratings reason either, since both carry the same 8,000-page black and 6,000-page color figures. Choose whichever listing you prefer; what matters is that the four part numbers match the cartridges your printer already uses.

What warranty and returns come with it?

These are Clever Supplies compatible cartridges backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the full terms on our shipping & returns page. Orders ship from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, and support is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
