Frequently Asked Questions

All four colors on my C5850 are running low — what does this set give me?

Everything the printer needs in one box: one black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow cartridge, built to the 43865717, 43865718, 43865719 and 43865720 cartridge family. One order refreshes all four slots on your C5850, and because each cartridge is sealed separately, you can swap them as each color actually gives out rather than all at once.

How do the ratings split between black and color?

The black cartridge carries the larger rating, at up to 8,000 pages, and each of the three color cartridges is rated at up to 6,000 pages. Ratings are measured the industry way on pages with light, even coverage, so treat them as ceilings: dense color pages will use the cyan, magenta and yellow faster, while everyday text work mostly draws on the black.

Which other printers use these same four cartridges?

Alongside the C5850, the 43865717 / 43865718 / 43865719 / 43865720 family is listed for the C5850DN and C5850N, and for the C6150, C6150DN, C6150DTN, C6150HDN and C6150N. That shared cartridge design is exactly why the set is identified by its four part numbers as well as by model names.

Is this an original Okidata product?

No — these are compatible cartridges made to the same specifications and sold under our Clever Supplies brand, not Oki-branded originals. That is the reason the full four-cartridge set is $145.50, while still carrying the same published ratings of 8,000 pages for black and 6,000 pages for each color.

What does the set work out to per cartridge?

At $145.50 for four cartridges, the average is about $36.38 per cartridge. Buying the colors together keeps every slot in your C5850 covered with one delivery instead of four separate orders arriving at different times.

How am I covered after the purchase?

Every cartridge in the set carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, spelled out on our shipping and returns page. Orders leave from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if anything prints below expectations.

About This C5850 Four-Color Set

For the Oki C5850, this is the whole refresh in a single box: the 43865717, 43865718, 43865719 and 43865720 cartridges as one compatible family, the black good for up to 8,000 pages and the three colors for up to 6,000 pages apiece, priced at $145.50. Coverage runs a full year on both warranty and free returns, delivery comes out of Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California depending on which warehouse is closest, and the rest of the catalogue sits on our Okidata toner page.
