Frequently Asked Questions

When is the right moment to order a replacement for a B720DN?

When the printer first warns of low toner — not when it refuses to print. A 52123601 lasts up to 15,000 pages, so warnings arrive with plenty of margin; ordering at the first warning means the spare is on the shelf long before the old cartridge actually gives out.

Does the B720DN take a special duplex cartridge?

No. Duplex is a printer feature, not a toner variant. The B720DN uses the standard 52123601, the same cartridge as the B710dn, B710n, B720dn, B720n and B730dn. One supply covers the whole family, duplex models included.

What will this cartridge cost us per page?

At $93.04 with a 15,000-page rating, roughly 0.62 cents per page at standard coverage. Two-sided printing halves your paper spend on top of that, but the toner math stays the same per printed page.

Is this cartridge OEM or compatible?

Compatible — a Clever Supplies cartridge built to the 52123601 specification rather than an original Okidata unit. That is how the price stays at $93.04 while the yield class remains 15,000 pages.

Can I keep this spare on the shelf for months?

Yes. Store it sealed and flat in a cool, dry cupboard away from sunlight and radiators. An unopened 52123601 holds its quality for a long shelf life, so buying ahead of the warning is a perfectly sound habit.

What cover comes with the cartridge?

A one-year warranty and one-year free returns under our shipping & returns policy. Orders ship from whichever of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses is nearest, and support is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.
