Frequently Asked Questions

What does "2 X BCMY" mean in this set's name?

It means two of everything: two complete rounds of the four cartridges — Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow — eight cartridges in total. Each round is the family's standard set: the 810WH black rated at 2,000 pages, plus the C5GC3 cyan, XMX5D magenta and WM2JC yellow at 1,400 pages each. You install one round now and hold the second round as a full spare set, so the next changeover needs no order at all.

What do we save compared with buying two separate 4-color sets?

Two of the standard sets would cost $92.46. This eight-cartridge set is $73.98, so you keep $18.48, and the average cost per cartridge falls from $11.56 to $9.25. The cartridges are identical either way — the saving comes purely from buying the second round in the same box.

Who is an eight-cartridge set actually right for?

Offices that print steadily and hate running dry: a small business running a 1250c or 1355cnw all day, or anyone keeping several of these Dell printers supplied from one shelf. With two full rounds on hand, the black side holds 2,000 pages of capacity per round — 4,000 across both — and each color holds 2,800 pages across the two rounds.

And who should honestly not buy it?

A very light user. If your printer produces a few pages a week, a single 1,400-page color cartridge can last you the better part of a year, and a second full round may sit in a cupboard for years. Toner keeps well when stored sealed and dry, but if your volume is that low, the four-cartridge set is the sensible purchase and you can reorder when you need to.

Which printers does this set fit?

All eight models in Dell's compact color laser family: the Color Laser 1250c, 1350cnw, 1355cn, 1355cnw, 1755nf, 1755nfw, C1760nw and C1765nf. Every one of them runs on the 810WH black and the C5GC3, XMX5D and WM2JC color cartridges in this box.

What warranty and returns come with a set this size?

The same as every Clever Supplies cartridge: these are compatible cartridges backed by a 1-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year — see our shipping & returns page for the details. Sets ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central. The rest of the Dell lineup is on our Dell toner page.

About This 2 X BCMY 8 Color Set

The bulk option in Dell's small color-laser family: two full rounds of the 810WH black (2,000 pages each) and the C5GC3 cyan, XMX5D magenta and WM2JC yellow cartridges (1,400 pages each), fitting the 1250c, 1350cnw, 1355cn, 1355cnw, 1755nf, 1755nfw, C1760nw and C1765nf. At $73.98 it undercuts two separate four-cartridge sets by $18.48 and brings the average cartridge cost down to $9.25 — the right buy for steady-volume offices, and more than a light user needs.
