Frequently Asked Questions

Phones, laptops and tablets all print to our B1265DFW — what does that do to cartridge life?

It shortens the calendar life, not the page life. The cartridge holds a rating of up to 1,500 pages regardless of which device sends the job, but a wireless printer collects print jobs from everyone in range — boarding passes, recipes, homework, returns labels — and those casual pages add up. A household or small office that thinks it prints "hardly anything" often totals 300 pages a month once every device is counted.

How much does each of those pages cost?

At $38.21 for a cartridge rated at 1,500 pages, the maths lands at about 2.55 cents of toner per page. That is the honest figure for a compact cartridge, and we publish it rather than hide behind the shelf price: big office cartridges print cheaper pages, but they do not fit your B1265DFW, and its cartridge at least stays under forty dollars a change.

What are the warning signs that the cartridge is running out?

Print that fades down one side, washed-out greys, and output that looks fine on screen but tired on paper. On the B1265DFW the warnings are easy to miss because the person printing is rarely standing at the machine — the first real notice is often a family member holding a pale page. When the signs line up, the toner is the place to look first.

Does the same cartridge fit other Dell models?

Yes. The 331-7327 is the shared black cartridge for the B1260 and B1265 families — the B1260dn and B1260dnf multifunction printers and the B1265dfw on this page among them. One cartridge type across the family keeps a spare shelf uncomplicated.

Is this made by Dell?

No, this is a compatible cartridge from a third-party manufacturer, built to Dell's 331-7327 specification. Everything quoted here — the 1,500-page rating, the $38.21 price, the cover below — describes this compatible unit.

What cover and delivery come with it?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns back the cartridge, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST; the full terms are on our shipping & returns page. Stock ships from whichever of our warehouses — IL, PA, GA or CA — gets it to you sensibly.
