Frequently Asked Questions

Our B1260 is the office workhorse — how long does a 5-pack last it?

Each cartridge in this pack is a 331-7328 rated at up to 2,500 pages, so five of them hold 12,500 pages of capacity. A busy small-office B1260 printing 750 pages a month gets through that in roughly sixteen to seventeen months; at 1,000 pages a month, plan on about a year. However fast your machine eats toner, the pack converts five separate orders into one.

What does this pack bring the per-page cost down to?

The pack is $117.10 — $23.42 per cartridge, against $38.21 for a single. Spread over the 12,500 rated pages, toner works out to about 0.94 cents per page, and the pack saves $73.95 against five singles bought one by one. On a machine that prints all day, that per-page gap is the difference between toner being a background cost and a line item you notice.

Is a 5-pack too much stock for one small printer?

For a B1260 that prints a few pages a week, honestly, yes — a smaller quantity would do. For one that anchors an office's paperwork, five cartridges is a rational shelf: the machine never waits on a delivery, and the reorder conversation happens once a year or so instead of every couple of months. Judge it against your page counter, not the box count.

How should we rotate five cartridges so none sits too long?

Load them oldest-first, keep the spares sealed in their packaging until the day they go in, and store the boxes flat in a cool, dry cupboard away from radiators and sunny windowsills. A date written on each box when the pack arrives makes the rotation foolproof — whoever swaps the cartridge just takes the earliest date.

Are these genuine Dell cartridges?

No — this is a pack of compatible 331-7328 cartridges, made by a third-party manufacturer to Dell's specification for the B1260 and its B1265 family siblings. The $117.10 price and the 2,500-page rating per cartridge apply to these compatible units, not to Dell-branded stock.

What warranty and returns cover applies?

Every cartridge in the pack carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns; if one underperforms, it comes back to us. Our team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, the fine print is on our shipping & returns page, and your order leaves from whichever of our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses is positioned to reach you.
