Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the second cartridge in this 2-pack add only $19.25?

That is the pack ladder at work. A single Dell 331-8429 costs $37.73; this 2-pack is $56.98, so the second cartridge effectively rides along for $19.25 — barely half the single price. Pack pricing spreads the packing and shipping cost across two cartridges instead of charging it twice. The cartridges themselves are identical extra high yield units, each rated at 11,000 pages.

What does the per-cartridge price drop to in the 2-pack?

$28.49 per cartridge, against $37.73 bought one at a time. Across the pack's combined 22,000 pages, your black cost falls to about 0.26 cents per page, and you save $18.48 compared with ordering two singles separately. Nothing about the cartridge changes — same 331-8429, same yield — only the unit economics improve.

What does 22,000 pages of black toner actually cover?

Think of it as one deep supply horizon for your C3760. An office printing 1,000 black pages a month is covered for roughly 22 months; at 2,000 a month, about 11 months. For most small offices, a single 2-pack order closes the black toner question for a year or more, which usually matters more than the saving itself — no reorder reminders, no emergency runs.

How should I run two cartridges — one in the machine, one on the shelf?

Exactly like that. Install the first, keep the second sealed in a cool, dry spot, and swap when the working cartridge fades. The changeover takes minutes, so a deadline job never waits on a delivery. Keep the spare in its packaging, rotate stock if you reorder before it is used, and the pair behaves like one long, uninterrupted supply.

Are both cartridges in the pack covered the same way?

Yes. Each compatible 331-8429 in this pack carries our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — the cover applies per cartridge, including the one still sealed on your shelf. If either unit leaks, fails early or arrives damaged, the terms on our shipping and returns page apply. Packs ship from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California.

When is the 2-pack the wrong purchase?

If the printer is on its way out. Two extra high yield cartridges hold 22,000 pages, and if your C3760 is about to be retired or replaced, the second cartridge may never be opened — money parked in a box. The 2-pack makes sense when the machine has a future: same office, steady volume, no replacement planned. In that common case, it is the sweet spot between buying singles repeatedly and stocking up heavily.
