Frequently Asked Questions

What does this 10 pack hold?

Ten black CF230X cartridges — HP's 30X — each rated at roughly 3,500 pages, each in its own sealed carton. It is the deep-stock version of the high-yield cartridge for LaserJet Pro machines in the LaserJet M203d family, bought by people who purchase supplies the way they purchase paper: in planned quantities.

Is ten high-yield cartridges too many if our volume drops?

It is a fair question, and the honest answer is that sealed cartridges wait patiently. If a department slows down, the stock simply stretches further into the future — nothing perishes, nothing is wasted. The risk of bulk toner is not spoilage; it is buying for a machine you no longer own, so stock deep only for printers that are staying.

How does central purchasing handle a box like this?

As inventory, not as a purchase to forget. Date the cartons on arrival, record the quantity on the shelf, and let the issue log — even a notebook by the cupboard — show the draw-down rate. That log is gold at budget time: it turns next year's toner line from a guess into a measurement.

Can the ten be split across locations?

Easily. A head office might keep six and send four to a satellite site running the same cartridge; each site holds its own buffer and draws it down independently. Because every carton is sealed and labelled with the same CF230X code, there is nothing to divide or decant — just cartons to count.

What storage does a ten pack need?

A shelf, kept dry, flat and out of direct sunlight. Stack the cartons in their arrival order and issue from the front. Ten cartons is a modest footprint — roughly a copier-paper box worth of space — and in exchange the printers it feeds effectively never stop for toner.

If one cartridge fails, does the whole $131.76 order get complicated?

No. The 1-year warranty attaches to each cartridge individually, and 1-year free returns covers sending a faulty unit back. One failure is one replacement conversation; the other nine cartridges carry on without paperwork drama.
