Best Toner Cartridge
Does what it is suppose to do. Good quality print no leakage of toner. The 2500 pages is the average not what everyone will get. Depends on the amount of coverage of ink on a page. Great for the price.

This is absolute waste of money you get what you pay for. It says 2000 Sheets but after i printed about 30 the printer started giving warning that the Toner is low and i do not get any quality prints. Do not buy this.

What cartridges does the Color LaserJet 1600 use?
Four 124A cartridges: Q6000A black, Q6001A cyan, Q6002A yellow and Q6003A magenta. This set is one of each — the whole toner load of the Color LaserJet 1600 in a single box, so a complete change needs nothing else.
The 1600 is a desktop printer. Is a full set overkill for one person?
It is the opposite of overkill. A personal color printer still runs on four cartridges, and they still fade one at a time — usually mid-document. Having the full set on hand at $160.10 means the printer is never waiting on a delivery, and each color is replaced the day it actually runs out rather than the week after.
How many pages will I get?
About 2,500 pages from the black cartridge and about 2,000 from each color, at standard test coverage. A desktop 1600 doing letters, web pages and the occasional color document will take a long time to spend that; photo-heavy printing spends it faster, as it does on any color laser.
My prints have started streaking. Is that the toner?
Streaks and fading in one color are the classic end-of-life signs of that cartridge. If the streak runs in a single color, its cartridge is the culprit; if the whole page looks tired, the set answers all of it at once. Either way, the fix is a cartridge change, not a service call.
Is installation really a one-person, no-tools job?
Yes — the 1600 was designed for exactly that. Open the front, lift out the old cartridge, unpack the new one, remove its seal, give it a gentle rock to level the toner, and slide it in. Our compatibles from the HP range follow the same 124A shape, so the motion is identical to the cartridge you removed.
