Frequently Asked Questions

What do the V/B letters on my WorkCentre actually stand for?

They mark a configuration of the 6015 multifunction machine — how that variant was equipped and sold — not a separate toner system. Under the lid, the black slot of a WorkCentre 6015V/B takes the family's standard cartridge, the 106R1630. That is this listing: one compatible black cartridge, $29.92.

How can I verify that without guessing?

Open the machine and read the black cartridge's label. It will carry the code 106R1630. The part number outranks the badge letters every time — match it, and the replacement is settled.

The title says "Toner Cartridges" — how many will I receive?

One cartridge. The plural is a naming habit in the catalog, and we would rather disappoint the wording than the buyer: this listing is a single 106R1630, rated at up to 2,000 pages, and the box contains exactly that.

Does a multifunction machine wear the black out differently?

It can wear it faster in calendar terms. On a WorkCentre, copying prints too — so black toner feeds two jobs instead of one, while scanning consumes nothing. A copy-heavy 6015V/B will ask for its next black sooner than a print-only machine producing the same number of pages.

What is the running cost of this cartridge?

Around 1.50 cents per page: $29.92 over a rating of up to 2,000 pages at about 5% coverage. Copied originals with shading or images push coverage well past that assumption and pull the page count down with it — normal physics for any toner cartridge.

Which models share this black cartridge, and what guarantee applies?

The WorkCentre 6015, this WorkCentre 6015V/B and the WorkCentre 6015V/N, along with the Phaser 6000 and 6000B, Phaser 6010 and Phaser 6010N. The guarantee is a one-year warranty with free returns for a year, as published on the shipping and returns page; we ship from IL, PA, GA and CA, keep support Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and list the full range on the Xerox toner page.
