Frequently Asked Questions

Why is cyan the colour that brand work notices first?

Because so many house colours are built on it. The blue in a logo, the teal in a template, the green in a chart — all of them lean on cyan, so when this cartridge fades on a Phaser 7800 GX, brand colours are the first thing to look "nearly right, but off." On a graphics-configured machine that small wrongness is the whole job, which is why cyan condition gets watched more closely here than on an office printer.

How do I prove a colour shift is this cartridge and not the file?

Take the file out of the equation. Print a test page with a solid cyan patch and a solid blue patch straight from the machine. If the cyan patch is patchy or weak, the 106R01566 is spent regardless of what any file does; if the patch is dense and even, the cartridge is innocent and the artwork or its settings deserve the suspicion.

What does "high yield" mean for a graphics machine's supply shelf?

Fewer interruptions, planned further ahead. This cartridge is rated at 17,200 pages at $88.49 — about 0.51 cents per page — so a single unit covers a long campaign of colour work. The trade-off of a long-life cartridge is forgetfulness: it is ordered rarely, so the reorder has to be triggered by the level gauge, not by habit.

The name says "Toner Cartridges" — is more than one cartridge included?

No — one cartridge. The GX listing's name is plural, but the shipment is a single 106R01566 cyan unit. If the studio's stock plan assumed a pack, correct it before the shelf is counted on during a client deadline.

How should a spare cartridge with this long a life be stored?

Unopened, flat, and boring: out of sunlight, away from heat, at ordinary room conditions. A spare bought today may sit for months before its turn — stored properly that is no issue at all, and a sealed unit on the shelf is what turns a mid-campaign empty into a brief pause instead of a missed delivery.

What cover comes with this cartridge?

A one-year warranty and free returns for a year, as set out on our shipping and returns page. Orders are sent from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the rest of the range is gathered on the Xerox toner page.
