Frequently Asked Questions

How far does one cyan realistically stretch in a working YDX shop?

The rating says up to 25,000 pages, measured at standard coverage. A production shop laying down heavy solids will land below that figure; a shop mixing documents with color will land closer, sometimes beyond. Plan your shelf stock from the coverage of the work you actually run, not from the number on the box alone.

What early drift on a proof warns that the cyan is fading?

Check a sheet you know well. Corporate blues slide toward purple, sky tones print thin, and greens warm up noticeably. Because cyan fades gradually rather than stopping outright, a familiar proof exposes the slide long before the printer's own warning appears.

Do the extra letters in 7760YDX call for a different cartridge?

No. The suffix letters describe the printer's factory configuration — its paper handling and finishing fit-out — not a different toner bay. The cyan is the same 106R01160 across the Phaser 7760, Phaser 7760DN and Phaser 7760DX, and across the GX, YDN, YDX and YGX variants alike.

The listing name uses the plural "Cartridges" — what actually ships?

A single cartridge. One 106R01160 cyan arrives in the box; the plural is wording the catalog applies across these listings. For a high-throughput machine the practical answer to volume is a spare on the shelf, ordered as its own single.

What is the per-page figure for cyan on this listing?

One cartridge at $47.77, rated to 25,000 pages, puts the cyan cost near 0.19 cents a page. At YDX volumes that predictability matters: the color budget for a long run can be estimated before the run starts, rather than discovered after it.

What stands behind the purchase?

One year of warranty and a full year of free returns, as set out on our shipping & returns page. Orders are filled from IL, PA, GA and CA, questions are answered Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and sibling supplies for the 7760 live on the Xerox supplies page.
