Frequently Asked Questions

Why do the blue headings and the logo fade while the black text stays perfect?

Because the text never touches this cartridge. Body text prints from black; headings, logos and chart series are built with cyan. A 7760YDN can be nearly out of cyan while memos still look flawless — judge the cartridge by a color sample, not by a page of type.

What does the Y in 7760YDN change about ordering toner?

Nothing at the toner bay. The Y marks a later configuration of the printer itself; the cyan it takes is the same 106R01160 used by the Phaser 7760, the Phaser 7760DN and the Phaser 7760DX, and by the GX, YDX and YGX variants as well.

How long will one cartridge last in mostly-document color printing?

Longer than the headline figure suggests. The rating — up to 25,000 pages — assumes standard coverage, and office documents with a chart and a logo sip cyan compared with photographic work. In that duty, a single cartridge covers a very long stretch between orders.

The name says "Cartridges" — is more than one cartridge coming?

No. One cyan cartridge is in the box; the plural wording is a catalog habit across the 7760 listings rather than a promise of a bundle. Given the page rating, one cartridge is a substantial supply on its own.

What is the cyan cost per page on this listing?

Roughly 0.19 cents. The cartridge costs $47.77 and is rated to 25,000 pages, so the cyan content of a typical office page is a rounding error in the printing budget — even before light document coverage stretches the cartridge further.

What happens if this cyan turns out to be a dud?

The 1-year warranty covers it, and returns are free for a full year, as the shipping & returns page explains. Orders leave IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses; support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST; companion supplies sit on the Xerox supplies page.
