Frequently Asked Questions

Why does two-sided color work drink cyan faster than the rating suggests?

The 25,000-page figure counts pages at standard coverage. A duplex sheet carries two printed sides, and a color-dense side pulls its full share of cyan, so a stack of two-sided brochures consumes the cartridge on both faces of every sheet. The cartridge is not underperforming — the impressions simply add up twice per sheet of paper.

How should a spare cartridge be kept so it is ready mid-run?

Sealed in its original packaging, stored indoors at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Do not open the bag until the moment of the swap: an unopened 106R01160 waits patiently on the shelf, while an opened one starts aging whether it prints or not.

Is the DX cyan a different part from the one the base model uses?

It is the same part. The 7760DX takes the identical 106R01160 cyan as the Phaser 7760 and the Phaser 7760DN — this page keeps the Phaser 7760DX name so DX owners land on their own listing, and the GX, YDN, YDX and YGX variants share it too.

The name says "Cartridges" — is a multipack on its way?

No multipack. One cyan cartridge ships, rated for up to 25,000 pages; the plural in the title is catalog wording, not a count. If you like to hold a reserve for long duplex runs, order a second single rather than reading the title as a bundle.

What does cyan cost per printed side here?

At $47.77 for a cartridge rated to 25,000 pages, the cyan share works out near 0.19 cents per side at standard coverage. For two-sided work, that is the number to carry into a quote: fractions of a cent of cyan on each face of the sheet.

What if the cartridge fails early?

It is covered by a 1-year warranty, and returns stay free for a full year under our shipping & returns page. Shipping runs out of IL, PA, GA and CA, support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the rest of the 7760 range is on the Xerox supplies page.
