Frequently Asked Questions

On a shared office 7760DN, how do you catch a fading cyan before someone's presentation prints?

Make the supply levels part of a weekly routine — the machine reports its toner gauges, and cyan is the one nobody watches because documents keep printing. The visible warning is in the output: chart blues come out washed while the black text on the same pages stays perfectly sharp.

What work does cyan do in ordinary office documents?

More than it gets credit for. The default blue series in charts and graphs is cyan-built, headings and logos lean on it, and teal accents vanish without it. When the cartridge fades, the blue column series in a report can wash nearly to grey while everything else on the page looks normal.

Which models does this listing cover?

It is named for the Phaser 7760DN, and the same 106R01160 cyan runs in the Phaser 7760 and the Phaser 7760DX, plus the GX, YDN, YDX and YGX variants. Networked or not, the whole family drinks from the one cartridge.

What does the cyan cost an office per page?

About 0.19 cents, from a $47.77 cartridge rated at 25,000 pages. Office color is usually light coverage, which stretches a cartridge further than the rating — for budgeting purposes, the cyan line in a cost-per-page report is close to negligible.

"Cartridges," plural — how many should the stockroom expect?

One per order of this listing. A single 106R01160 cyan ships; the plural is catalog phrasing, not a case count. If the DN serves a whole department, the sensible stockroom rule is one in the machine and one on the shelf, ordered as two singles.

What backs a cartridge bought for a shared machine?

A 1-year warranty plus free returns for a full year — see the shipping & returns page. Stock moves from IL, PA, GA and CA, help is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the Xerox supplies page holds the rest of the range.
