Frequently Asked Questions

What does the "B" in Phaser 6000B mean for my toner order?

Nothing you need to act on. The suffix marks a machine variant, not a different cartridge system: the Phaser 6000B takes the same 106R1628 magenta — rated at 1,400 pages — as the rest of this platform. Read the number off the cartridge you remove; if it says 106R1628, this is the right listing.

Why is magenta the color that fades first on our prints?

It depends on what you print. Magenta carries the warm half of the palette — reds, purples, skin tones — so offices printing charts, logos and photos burn through it ahead of cyan. When those warm colors start sliding toward orange and brown, the magenta is the cartridge at the end of its life.

How many pages should I expect?

The rating is 1,400 pages at standard test coverage. Dense color pages use several times the toner of a text page, so real life lands below the rating in proportion to how much color your documents carry.

Which other models use this same magenta?

Every other model in the family drinks from the same magenta supply — the WorkCentre branch (WorkCentre 6015, WorkCentre 6015V/B, WorkCentre 6015V/N) and the Phaser branch alike (Phaser 6000, Phaser 6010, Phaser 6010N).

How many cartridges does this listing include?

One magenta cartridge at $31.99. The plural in the title is the platform's naming habit, not a count; multi-cartridge sets are separate listings.

What cover does the cartridge carry?

A 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year, under the terms on our shipping & returns page. A cartridge that prints pale or streaks is replaced or refunded.
