Frequently Asked Questions

What does the 5 pack bring the per-cartridge price to?

$28.00 a cartridge — $139.99 for five 106R01163 black cartridges, against $213.95 if the same five were bought as singles, a saving of $73.96. Nothing about the cartridge changes at this quantity: each is the full unit rated at up to 32,000 pages, so the bundle holds roughly 160,000 pages of black printing at about 0.09 cents a page.

Who actually prints 160,000 pages of black?

More Phaser 7760 owners than you might expect. In a copy shop, a school district office or a marketing department, the 7760's black slot feeds the daily paper flow while color work comes and goes. At a few thousand black pages a week, a five-pack is simply a year's supply bought once, at the family's lowest unit price.

Can one bundle serve more than one printer?

Yes — that is one of its quiet advantages. Every 7760 build loads the same black cartridge: the Phaser 7760, Phaser 7760DN, Phaser 7760DX and the GX and Y configurations. A small fleet with mixed badges can draw black toner from one shared stockpile.

Will cartridges at the back of the shelf go stale?

No. Toner is a dry powder sealed inside the cartridge; kept in its packaging, flat, in a normal room away from radiators and damp, a cartridge prints the same in month twelve as in month one. The only real enemies are heat, moisture and a torn seal.

How do I pace the swaps across a bundle this size?

One cartridge in the printer, the rest sealed in the stockroom, and let the output tell you when to change: solid blacks mean keep printing, greying text means the current fill is done. Because the printer estimates consumption rather than measuring powder, faded pages are the signal worth trusting.

What cover comes with a bulk purchase?

The same as with a single: a one-year warranty on every cartridge and free returns for a full year, set out on the shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
