Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly arrives in this 2 pack?

Two individual 106R01163 black cartridges for the Phaser 7760, each rated at up to 32,000 pages, so the box holds about 64,000 pages of black printing between the pair. They are the identical cartridge sold as a single, simply bundled — one goes in the printer, the other waits sealed on the shelf.

How much does the bundle save me?

Bought separately, two singles at $42.79 come to $85.58; this pair is $67.09, which saves you $18.49 and brings the cost down to $33.55 a cartridge — around 0.10 cents per rated page instead of 0.13. The saving is in the bundle price, not in a smaller fill: both cartridges are full 32,000-page units.

Should the second cartridge go straight in when the first runs low?

Swap it in when the first is genuinely spent — output fading to grey is the reliable sign. The spare keeps perfectly in its sealed packaging meanwhile; toner is a dry powder and does not dry out or go off while it waits, so there is no race to use it.

Why do owners of a color printer stock up on black?

Because on a Phaser 7760 the black cartridge carries the everyday load — correspondence, proofs of text pages, forms and reports — while the colors come out for specific jobs. Black is the supply most likely to empty at an awkward moment, and a shelf spare is the difference between a two-minute swap and a stalled deadline.

Do both cartridges fit every 7760 build?

They do. The Phaser 7760, Phaser 7760DN, Phaser 7760DX and the GX and Y-suffixed versions all take the same 106R01163 black cartridge; the letters after 7760 describe the printer's configuration, not its toner.

What protection covers the pair?

Each cartridge carries our one-year warranty, and returns stay free for a full year — the details sit on the shipping and returns page. We dispatch from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and the support team is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This 106R01163 2 Pack

At $67.09 this is the continuity option: enough black toner for roughly 64,000 rated pages, structured so the printer never waits on a delivery. It fits owners whose 7760 earns its keep daily and who would rather reorder twice a year than once a quarter. Singles and larger bundles for the same cartridge are listed alongside it on our Xerox toner page.
