Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 3 pack pricing break down?

The bundle is $91.39 for three 106R01163 black cartridges, which works out at $30.46 per cartridge against $42.79 bought one at a time — a saving of $36.98 across the three. Each cartridge is a full unit rated at up to 32,000 pages, so the box represents about 96,000 pages of black output at roughly 0.10 cents a page.

Is a three-cartridge supply a sensible amount to hold?

For most Phaser 7760 owners it maps neatly onto a quarter's black consumption or a semester in a school office: one in the machine, two in reserve. Toner powder does not expire on any schedule that matters here, so a cartridge bought today prints just as well when its turn comes months from now, as long as it is stored sealed, flat and away from heat.

Are the three cartridges all the same?

Completely — three identical black 106R01163 cartridges, interchangeable in any order. There is no first, second and third cartridge, and no rotation scheme to follow; when one fades out, the next one off the shelf goes in.

Will these fit my 7760 variant?

Yes, whichever badge your machine wears. The Phaser 7760, Phaser 7760DN and Phaser 7760DX, plus the GX and Y-lettered configurations, all share one black cartridge design. Variant letters record feeders, finishers and network equipment fitted to the printer.

How should I store the cartridges I am not using yet?

Sealed in their packaging, lying flat, in an ordinary room — not on top of a radiator, not in a damp basement, not in direct sun. Treated that way a spare loses nothing while it waits, which is what makes a 96,000-page stockpile practical rather than risky.

What warranty and returns cover do I get?

Every cartridge in the bundle is covered by a one-year warranty with free returns for a full year; the full wording is on our shipping and returns page. Orders are sent from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and help is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This 106R01163 3 Pack

This $91.39 bundle is the planner's size: a quarter of black toner for a working Phaser 7760, bought once at $30.46 a cartridge instead of three separate orders at $42.79. It suits steady, predictable volume — heavy enough that singles feel fiddly, light enough that a five-pack would sit for a year. Compare the other bundle sizes on our Xerox toner page.
