Frequently Asked Questions
Who is an eight-cartridge box really for?
Print rooms, prepress corners and departments where the 7760 rarely cools down. When a machine is producing color work most of the day, ordering in fours means reordering constantly; a stock of eight turns toner into a background detail instead of a recurring errand. It also suits sites running the printer far from their usual supplier, where a missed delivery would idle an expensive machine.
How do you work through a stock this size without waste?
Rotate it. Fit the cartridges bought earliest first, keep the rest sealed until their turn, and let the printer's level readings — not the calendar — decide when a position gets changed. Toner does not go off quickly in its packaging, so a disciplined first-in, first-out shelf gets full value from every cartridge in the box.
Which printers does the set serve?
The Phaser 7760 range: the Phaser 7760, the Phaser 7760DN and the Phaser 7760DX, plus the GX, YDN, YGX and YDX configurations, which all share the same toner fitting despite their different paper-handling setups.
What is in the box?
Eight high-yield cartridges spanning the platform's four part numbers: black comes from the 106R01163, cyan from the 106R01160, magenta from the 106R01161 and yellow from the 106R01162. Every position in the printer is covered more than once over, which is the point of a stock this size.
What do the ratings mean cartridge by cartridge?
Each black 106R01163 in the box is rated at up to 32,000 pages, and each color cartridge — 106R01160, 106R01161 or 106R01162 — at up to 25,000 pages, measured on the standard 5% coverage test page. Full-bleed artwork and dense charts consume toner far faster than that test page, so heavy graphics sites should read the figures as best-case benchmarks.
What cover and delivery terms apply?
Every cartridge in the set is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns; our shipping and returns page has the complete terms. We dispatch from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, using the closest one to your address, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
About This 7760 8 Color Set
At $462.38, this is the bulk form of the 7760 high-yield group: eight cartridges drawn from 106R01163 black (up to 32,000 pages apiece) and 106R01160 cyan, 106R01161 magenta and 106R01162 yellow (up to 25,000 pages apiece). It is stocked for machines whose color volume makes small orders a nuisance. The rest of what we carry for the platform is listed on our Xerox toner page.
