Frequently Asked Questions
Who actually buys four 61,000-page cartridges in one order?
Sites where black volume is measured in tens of thousands of pages a month: copy and print rooms, school and district offices, clinics, logistics back offices, and any organisation running more than one 7425-platform machine. This 4-pack of 13R647 cartridges holds 244,000 rated pages of black output, so a single purchase can carry a busy site through a full budget year of black printing and copying — one order, one invoice, and no monthly toner errands for whoever manages the supplies cupboard.
Can one box feed several different machines?
Yes — that is the practical strength of this platform. The same 13R647 cartridge serves the WorkCentre 7425, 7428 and 7435 families, so a site running a mix of those machines stocks a single black SKU instead of a different cartridge per model. Units from this box can be allocated to whichever machine runs low first, and the spares on the shelf are never stranded by a machine swap or a department reshuffle.
What does the 4-pack work out to per cartridge and per page?
At $678.29 for four cartridges, each 13R647 works out to $169.57, and spread across the rated 244,000 pages the box delivers black output at about 0.28 cents per page. That is simply this listing's price divided by its rated yield — no contract, lease bundle or per-click service agreement behind the figure — which makes it the number to compare against your current cost per black page when the supply budget is reviewed.
When should the next order be placed?
A workable rule for a box this size: reorder when the last sealed cartridge leaves the shelf and goes into a machine. At that point the running units still hold tens of thousands of pages between them, which leaves a comfortable window for delivery long before anything runs dry. Sites that track meter readings can refine the rule further — divide the pages since the last changeover by the months elapsed, and the box's remaining life in months stops being a guess.
Which WorkCentre models does this cartridge fit?
Start with the cartridge in your hand: the 13R647 code is the platform-wide constant across all 35 variants of the three families this listing covers. On the printer side that means the WorkCentre 7425 series — base WorkCentre 7425FB, WorkCentre 7425FL, WorkCentre 7425FX, WorkCentre 7425R and WorkCentre 7425RX among them — plus the WorkCentre 7428 series with its WorkCentre 7428FX and WorkCentre 7428RX, and the WorkCentre 7435 series with its WorkCentre 7435FX and WorkCentre 7435RX. The letters after the number describe finishers, fax kits and paper handling, never a different toner — which is exactly why one box can supply a mixed fleet.
What cover comes with the 4-pack?
The cover treats the box as four separate purchases sharing a carton: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns attach to every cartridge, so a single faulty unit is sent back and exchanged or refunded while the remaining three stay in service. Dispatch is from the closest of our four US warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — under the terms published on our shipping & returns page. Our support team is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and everything else stocked for the platform lives in our Xerox catalogue.
About This Xerox 13R647 Black 4-Pack for the WorkCentre 7425, 7428 and 7435
Four compatible Xerox 13R647 black cartridges at 61,000 rated pages apiece: 244,000 pages of black output for the WorkCentre 7425, 7428 and 7435 families, at $678.29 — roughly 0.28 cents per rated page. This is the format for buyers who treat toner as an annual line item rather than a monthly errand: one platform-wide SKU, drawn down machine by machine as each WorkCentre reaches the bottom of a cartridge, with the reorder point set by the last sealed unit on the shelf. Our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns stand behind all four cartridges.
