Frequently Asked Questions

The 6027 is nagging me to replace cyan, but the prints still look acceptable — who is right?

Trust the prints, up to a point. The replace-cyan message is generated from an estimated count, and the 106R02756 usually has honest life left when it first appears. Keep working while blues and greens hold their colour, but treat the message as your ordering signal: once output actually turns pale or streaky, the estimate has caught up with reality.

Our blue letterheads have started printing purple. Why would cyan cause that?

Blue is mixed from cyan and magenta in roughly equal partnership. As the cyan empties, magenta wins the partnership and every blue slides toward purple — letterheads, logos and hyperlink-blue headings all shift together. It is the classic signature of a cyan cartridge at the end of its life, and a fresh 106R02756 restores the balance.

Is 1,000 pages the standard yield for this cartridge?

Yes — this is the standard-yield supply for the platform, rated at up to 1,000 pages under the usual 5% coverage assumption. At $25.22 that is about 2.52 cents per page. Modest as the number sounds, it suits the way these compact machines are actually used: short runs of everyday documents rather than production colour work.

Which printers is this 6027 cartridge listed for?

The supply pages for this cartridge cover the Phaser 6022, the Phaser 6027 and the Phaser 6027ni. The deciding test is always the number on the cartridge you remove: if it reads 106R02756, this is the same cyan supply.

The first pages after a swap look uneven — should I worry?

Give it a few prints. A fresh cartridge needs a short run to distribute its toner evenly, so the first page or two can look slightly patchy before settling into full, even colour. If uneven blues persist beyond a handful of pages, that is worth raising with support while the cartridge is under warranty.

What warranty and returns cover this purchase?

A 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year; the details are published on our shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
