Frequently Asked Questions
Who actually needs 120,000 pages of toner in one box?
Two kinds of buyers. The first runs several 52xx machines — a school office, a clinic, a multi-desk firm — and feeds them all from one shelf stock of 106R1306 cartridges. The second runs a single department copier hard enough that 30,000-page cartridges turn over every few months, and would rather approve one purchase than four. Either way, this 4-pack puts 120,000 rated pages on the shelf at once, and toner buying drops off the recurring to-do list for a year or more.
How does the 4-pack pricing break down?
Dividing this listing's own numbers: $325.43 across four cartridges is $81.36 per 106R1306, and across the rated 120,000 pages that is about 0.27 cents per page for black copies and prints. Those figures come only from this pack's price and rated yield — no comparison with other listings is needed to see whether it fits your supply budget; set the per-page number against your current cost and the answer is immediate.
How should four cartridges be stored and rotated over a long period?
Keep them sealed, flat and out of direct sunlight, in the order they arrived — oldest at the front, so the first 106R1306 you bought is the first one loaded. A cartridge sitting sealed for months loses nothing; what hurts toner is heat, humidity swings and a torn seal. Marking the purchase month on each box with a pen takes ten seconds and removes all guesswork when the stock has been on the shelf a while. Used in rotation, the fourth cartridge prints exactly like the first.
If one of the four cartridges turns out faulty, do I send the whole pack back?
No. The cover on this 4-pack — a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — applies cartridge by cartridge, so a single defective 106R1306 is replaced or refunded on its own while the other three stay in your stock. One bad unit never empties the shelf or interrupts the machines the remaining cartridges are feeding, which is precisely why fleet buyers prefer holding their cover this way rather than as one sealed bundle.
Which machines does the 106R1306 fit?
It is the black toner cartridge for the WorkCentre 5222, WorkCentre 5225, WorkCentre 5230, WorkCentre 5225A and WorkCentre 5230A. Every machine on that list takes the same bay, so one stock of 106R1306 cartridges covers a mixed fleet without sorting. Check the code on a cartridge you pull out — 106R1306 is the match.
How is an order of this size delivered and supported?
The 4-pack ships from the closest of our four US warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — and the full delivery and returns terms are set out on our shipping & returns page. If you are standardising a fleet on this cartridge and want the code double-checked against a machine list before you commit, our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. The wider range for these copiers is in our Xerox catalogue.
