Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a 5 pack actually for?

For the WorkCentre that serves a whole corner of the office — the machine everyone prints to, copies on and faxes through, where a faded page is never one person's problem. If a single cartridge disappears in a month or less, this box is your size. If your machine takes a quarter to finish one cartridge, it honestly is not: the smaller packs in this range will serve you better and tie up less cash on the shelf.

How does the bulk arithmetic land?

Five 106R2311 cartridges at the single price would come to $201.55. The 5 pack is $127.56 — $25.51 per cartridge, $73.99 saved, and up to 25,000 rated pages across the box. Per page the cost works out near 0.51 cents, which is what shared machines need: the busier the printer, the more a fraction of a cent per page adds up over a year.

A big run fades halfway through, with people queueing. What then?

Swap, don't nurse it. On a shared machine the gentle shake-and-carry-on trick costs more in interrupted work than it saves in toner. Keep this box in the same cupboard as the paper, make sure whoever changes the cartridge knows where it lives, and the pause is two minutes instead of an afternoon. Then reorder — the rule that keeps a 5 pack working is replacing stock as it is drawn down, not when the box is empty.

Does copying use this toner the same way printing does?

Copying does, scanning does not. Every copy the glass produces is a printed page and spends toner like one; a scan sent to email or a folder puts nothing on paper and spends nothing. Offices are often surprised that their busiest toner month was a copying month — board packs, training manuals, file copies — so when you estimate how long this box lasts, count the copies alongside the printouts.

How should four waiting cartridges be kept?

Flat and sealed, in a cool dry place out of the sun, worked through oldest first. Toner powder is stable in the carton, so bulk stock does not deteriorate while it waits its turn; a quick side-to-side rock levels the powder before fitting. Avoid the top of the machine itself as storage — heat rises, and toner prefers the cupboard.

What guarantee backs the whole box?

Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty, and returns are free across the first year; the full terms are on our shipping and returns page. We dispatch from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, with support staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
