Frequently Asked Questions

Is three cartridges sensible stock for one machine, or is it hoarding?

Run the honest sum: divide your monthly page count into 15,000 — the total rating of this box — and see how many months the stock covers. An office printing around 1,500 pages a month is looking at the better part of a year of toner, which is a reasonable shelf. A desk printing a few hundred pages a month would be storing cartridges far longer than it needs to, and a smaller box would suit it better. The 3 pack rewards a measured guess, not optimism.

What does the box cost per cartridge, and per page?

Three 106R2311 cartridges bought singly total $120.93. This 3 pack is $83.93, which brings each cartridge down to $27.98 and keeps $37.00 in the budget. Across the box's 15,000 rated pages, printing works out at roughly 0.56 cents per page — the point where a quarter's toner stops being a purchasing decision anyone needs to discuss.

Does it matter which cartridge from the box goes in first?

It does, mildly. Work through the box oldest first — if this is a repeat order, the new box goes behind the stock you already hold — and a pencil note of the month on each carton keeps the rotation honest. Sealed toner keeps well, so this is housekeeping rather than urgency, but first-in-first-out means no cartridge ever sits forgotten at the back of the cupboard for years.

The machine says toner is low, but the pages still look fine. Who is right?

The pages. The warning is an estimate the machine makes from coverage counting, and it leans cautious — there is usually useful life left after it appears. Judge by output: while text stays dense and even, keep printing and let the warning be your prompt to check the cupboard rather than to panic. When greying and streaks genuinely arrive, that cartridge has reached its end and the next one from the box goes in.

What if the machine is replaced before the box is finished?

That is the risk every stock-up carries, and it is softened here: returns stay free for a full year, so unopened cartridges from a box bought for a machine that leaves the office are not money poured away. It is still worth buying to your real page count rather than your hopes — the arithmetic in the first answer takes a minute and sizes the order properly.

What warranty and returns cover does the box carry?

Every cartridge in the box is covered by a 1-year warranty with free returns for a year; the details are set out on our shipping and returns page. Stock dispatches from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, and the support team is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
