Frequently Asked Questions

What does the two-pack do to the per-cartridge price?

It brings it down a step. Bought singly, the MLT-D203E is $58.67; in this two-pack the pair costs $98.85, which is $49.43 per cartridge — a saving of $18.49 against two separate purchases, and enough toner for 20,000 rated pages in total.

Why keep a second cartridge on the shelf at all?

Because toner never runs out at a convenient moment. With one cartridge in the printer and its twin in the cupboard, the low-toner warning becomes a two-minute swap instead of a stalled print queue while a delivery makes its way to you. The spare also gives you a natural reorder trigger: when the shelf cartridge goes into the machine, that is the day to order the next pack.

Which printers will these two cartridges serve?

Both cartridges in the pack are the MLT-D203E supply for the Samsung SL-M3820DW, SL-M3870FW and SL-M4020ND. The three models take the identical cartridge, so the spare is not tied to one machine — whichever of them runs low first gets it.

How should the spare cartridge be stored?

Flat, in its sealed packaging, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Kept that way in an ordinary office it stays ready for the months a busy printer takes to work through 10,000 pages. Leave the bag sealed until fitting day; the packaging is what protects the toner inside.

Is there anything else this printer needs besides toner?

Over time, yes — the imaging drum. These models run a separate MLT-R203 imaging unit that outlasts several toner cartridges and is only changed when print quality or the printer's own counter calls for it. The toner and drum are independent parts, so this two-pack is purely your toner supply.

What protection comes with the pack?

Both cartridges are Clever Supplies compatibles covered by a one-year warranty, with free returns available throughout that first year. The full policy wording is on our shipping and returns page, and our team is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you need a hand.
