Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the second cartridge in this box effectively cost less than the first?

Because the expensive parts of selling a cartridge — packing it, shipping it, handling the order — are paid once for the pair instead of twice. The two-pack is $93.54 against $112.04 for two singles, so each SCX-D4725A inside it averages $46.77 and the rated page falls to about 1.56 cents. Nothing is diluted to achieve it: both cartridges carry the full 3,000-page rating. The discount is logistics, shared across two units instead of charged to each.

We run two SCX-4725 machines — is one two-pack a sensible buy for both?

It is a sensible restock and an honest limitation: the pair puts one fresh cartridge in each machine, which settles today, but leaves no spare standing behind either. Two machines drinking from one code is exactly the setup a two-pack serves as a top-up; as a standing buffer it is thin. If both machines print daily, the five-pack's shared pool is the proportionate shelf stock — if they print lightly, this pair per restock cycle is a perfectly rational rhythm.

What is the pair's total page budget?

Six thousand rated pages — 3,000 from each SCX-D4725A — covering everything the machines print, copy or receive by fax in that span. At a combined 500 pages a month across the two machines, the budget is a year of supply; at 1,000 a month, six months. The figure to plan against is the combined output tray count, not either machine's counter alone.

Which models take these cartridges?

This listing is titled for the SCX-4725, and the SCX-D4725A code it carries is also the listed supply for the Samsung SCX-4725ELS and SCX-4725F. Three models, one cartridge: the stamp on the spent unit is the definitive check, and it reads the same on all of them.

How should the second cartridge be kept until its turn?

In its sealed box, flat, in a dry cupboard — toner is a stable dry powder and a boxed spare waits without deteriorating. Keep it away from radiators and damp rather than worrying about the calendar. When the first cartridge fades, the swap is minutes; when the spare goes in, that is the reorder signal, with the new cartridge's 3,000 pages as your margin.

What cover stands behind this two-pack?

A one-year warranty against defects on each cartridge and free returns for a full year, detailed on the shipping and returns page, with support available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Orders are dispatched from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, so a follow-up pair is never a cross-country wait.
